We See Different Abilities In Disability.
Our service includes the following as established and documented in the individual’s plan of support:
- Skill-building and routine support related to ADLs and IADLs.
- Skill-building, routine support, and safety support related to the use of community resources, such as transportation, shopping, dining at restaurants, and participating in social and recreational activities.
- Supporting the individual in replacing challenging behaviors with positive, accepted behaviors for home and community environments.
- Monitoring the individual’s health and physical condition and providing routine and safety support with medication or other medical needs.
- Providing supports with transportation to and from community sites and resources; and
- Providing general support as needed.
We give our all when supporting our clients to achieve a meaningful threshold of independence. We believe that it is crucial as a provider to see the abilities, and not the disability. Our clients are encouraged to participate fully in exploring their communities, socializing with its members and building natural supports. Our professionals use various rich and diverse cultural skills in achieving this level of support. Furthermore, due to the importance we place on the wellbeing of our individuals, we painstakingly recruit the best hands from different spectrums of human services including Applied Behavior Analysts, Nurses, Mental Health Professionals, and Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s), to name a few. Services are provided in the comfort of the person’s home, making it easier for them to feel at ease and be of sound mind when being supported. Our services are geared toward building an ever ready, dependable, and enviable human services organization serving the entire commonwealth of Virginia and beyond.
Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD):
Our organization advocates for and serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We encompass all ages with different diagnoses including autism, Down syndrome, and various other developmental disabilities. Our professionals ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support and services they need to be fully engaged in their communities. This includes with I/DD participate and be included in their communities. In addition, we also support our clients by providing person-centered care in all areas and settings, financial planning, recreational activities, and other supports that meet the unique needs of people with I/DD.
